Next Generation Pre-Conference
Next Generation Pre-Conference Information Page
At institutions all over New York state undergraduate students are considering careers in Residence Life, Student Activities, Orientation, Career Services, and many other areas of the Higher Education and Student Affairs. At the Next-Generation NY Conference, undergraduate students will get a better understanding of Student Affairs as a profession, have the opportunity to meet new, middle, and seasoned professionals from across the state, will start thinking about their future plans, and explore current issues in the field. In addition, we are delighted to hear from Steve Tyrell, President of North Country Community College, who will share with our undergraduate attendees his journey to the college presidency through Student Affairs. Attendees can expect to:
- Explore the field of Higher Education/Student Affairs broadly, as well as learn about a diversity of functional areas.
- Think about their next steps, including options for graduate school or entering the professional world.
Navigate a venue for networking and lay a foundation for building connections.
Whether a student is debating Student Affairs as an option for their future or have already set their hearts on a path toward student services, undergraduate students from across New York State should join us in Rochester, NY, for an amazing day-long experience meant to educate and inspire.
Registration for Next-Generation Pre-Conference: $55, includes lunch on Saturday, October 5, 2013.
