CSPA-NYS routinely engages in strategic planning to shape the direction of our association.  Please see below for information about some of our more recent strategic plans.

2017 - 2020

The 2017-2020 Strategic Plan was developed on the culmination for the association's 50th anniversary.  A planning process was facilitated by a Strategic Planning Task Force that analyzed the organization's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats through a review of data gathered from membership needs assessments, event evaluations, and focus groups with key stakeholders.  The final, robust plan includes five strategic priorities.  CSPA-NYS 2020: A Roadmap to Continued Success was unveiled in October 2017.

2013 - 2016

The 2013-2016 Strategic Plan engaged in a comprehensive process that included the guidance of an outside consultant, interviews and focus groups with key stakeholders, surveys of members (past and present), and an extensive review of all that CSPA-NYS has to offer.  At the culmination of that process, the plan created established a course of action for our future.  The 2013-2016 plan identified four strategic priorities that encompass the major work of our organization. Each of these priorities was defined by several strategic initiatives, and each strategic initiative was mapped out by a series of concrete action steps.

2009 - 2012

In congruence with the mission, values and core functions of CSPA-NYS and with the ACPA-College Student Educators International, the Executive Board committed to three key strategic goals. Each goal was championed by an Executive Board member and a team of relevant collaborators from across the CSPA-NYS membership.
