Awards

Professional organizations play an important role in higher education by singling out and presenting appropriate awards to individuals who have made meritorious contributions. Since 1982, CSPA has presented such awards at its annual conference.

CSPA Awards and Honors Nomination Procedures

As a member of CSPA, you are called upon by your organization to assist in the process of identifying individuals you consider to have met the criteria of a particular award. Your nominations are valued and sought after by the Awards Committee. Please discuss the nomination process with other CSPA members and encourage your colleagues to consider submitting nominations. All nominations will be reviewed by the Awards Committee and recommendations will be forwarded to the CSPA Executive Council.

We have a simple process to encourage members to make nominations. A member may nominate an individual for only ONE award. We are relying on the nominator to supply supporting documentation. The committee will screen all nominations and conduct appropriate background reviews. Campaigning is not encouraged nor is the CSPA mailing list available for that purpose.

The nomination process usually begins in the late Spring and concludes early in the Fall semester. The names of the recipients will be announced at the Honors and Awards Banquet held at the Annual Conference.
